Ibn Katheer follows the rules of Hafs ‘an ‘Aasim by the way of Ash-Shaatibiyyah for idhgaam and idhhaar except in the following cases:

1.

Al-Bazee reads these two words with an of the while Qunbul reads it with an of the into the with an accompanying ghunnah. Hafs ‘an ‘Aasim by the way of Ash-Shaatibiyy reads the same way as Qunbul.

Ibn Katheer reads these two words with   of the saakinah followed by the in the words:   in aayah 176 of surah Al-Aa’raaf.

Ibn Katheer reads the word in aayah 284 of surah Al-Baqarah with a sukoon of the of the word  and of this into the following in the phrase (Al-Baqarah 284).
