Question
May Allah reward everyone contributing to this beneficial resource! Could you please explain what a bayaan (explanatory) hasan stop is? The bayaan taam and bayaan kafi seem clear but I am having trouble understanding the bayaan hasan stop and others in our tajweed class as well.
Jazakumu Allahu khaira!

Answer
Ameen and may Allah reward you greatly too.
The early scholars did not make a mention of bayaan taam or bayaan kaafi or bayaan hasan, and it is only modern tajweed teachers who have adapted these terms.  It is sufficient to stop on a taam or kaafi stop and only stop on a hasan stop when going back a few words when starting up again after taking a breath. We don't need to worry then about the bayaan stop labeled by some these days.
Wa iyyaakum.
