Can you please help me understand better , where I can stop in the middle of an ayat.

can you please help me understand better , where I can stop in the middle of an ayat. Some times the ayat is long and I run out of air. are there places where I cant pause?  Jazakum Allahu khairan.

Try to stop at the end of a meaningful phrase and start back a few words on a verb. That is usually the best way.   It there is a negative before the verb (making the verb a negative one such as "don't eat") then you need to start on the negative.   If you cannot figure out where to stop, look into a word by word translation, or the translation of the meaning of the Qur'an of Saheeh International, which tends to translate in order of the words as much as possible, this should help you figure out a good place to start and find a very a few words before to start back up on.
