I would like to ask about the pronounciation of the final two words of the second verse of surah al Kawthar.

I would like to ask about the pronounciation of the final two words of the second verse of surah al Kawthar. Is it pronounced as wanhar or is it pronounced as waanhar? I currently read as the second one as there is an alif inbetween the waw and the nun so there should be a bit of elongation there and not pronounced simply as wanhar like if a waw and a nun were joined together without an alif inbetween them. Am i correct?

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
The final word of the second aayah of Al-Kawthar is , the command verb begins with a hamzah al-wasl which looks like an alif with a small Saad above it, and this is preceded by the conjunction, wow, meaning and.  The hamzah al-wasl is only employed when we are starting on a word with it, and not when continuing.  The conjunction "wow" is considered too attached to the word following it to be separated, so we must start on this with the wow and drop the hamzah wasl in pronunciation when starting on this word.  So the hamzah wasl is not employed in any case in this word and it the word is pronounced by going directly from the wow to the noon saakinah.  There will be no elongation and no alif pronounced between the wow and noon.
