Question
Assalamu

In the recitation of Hafs by the way of Ash Shatibbiyyah, the lengthening is
either 4 or 5 count (not including the natural mudood which is 2 count). I
would like to know whether in the recitation of Hafs, but not by the way of
Ash shatibbiyyah, one can lengthen to 2 count the alif such as in
surat
59 verse 20: "...humul fâ izoon."
Have a blessed month of Ramadan and may Allah double your reward and may He
make us remember Him constantly inshallah.
Ma'a Salam

and we are continuing in
reading can be two and even three vowel counts in the reading of Hafs other
