Question

Assalaam alaikum wa rahmatu Allah.

Could anyone there possibly help me with a memorization problem in insha Allah?  The problem is:  I can not seem to keep straight what comes between   and another   - sometimes it is: 
  as in the first example below;  at other times it is :
    (as in the second and third example and these are given different interpretations in English) or it can be  
   . 
 In each case the interpretation into English is generally  "some to others".

English interpretation:  We said: "Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves.."

    2.       

And some of them draw near to others, questioning

Then they turned, one against another, in blaming

But when they meet one another in private….

Do you have any suggestion to help to remember which goes where?  I apologize for length of this question!

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh.

This is one of the situations where it is difficult to explain something very clear in Arabic, but not so clear in English.  We will do our best, but may lack the ability to explain completely.

In the first example:   Allah ta’aalaa is saying you are to each other enemies.  It is a relationship of the one (man) to the other (Shaytaan), but not a physical one.

 In the second and third examples,         there is a direct interaction of the one party to the other, with the implications of facing each other present.  It doesn’t necessarily mean physical facing each other, it can be confrontation or a questioning of each other.

 In the fourth example,            , there is also interaction between the two groups, but instead of the verb,    which is turning or facing, the verb is , meaning meeting privately (with each other).  Since they are physically meeting with each other, and are from the same group,  is used.
