Question
Assalaamu
'alaikum,
In the riwaayah
of Shu'bah how does one practically pronounce the ishmam in Kahf verse 2: min
ladnihi?
Is it a
qalqalah with ishmaam or is there no qalqalah at all?
This word
occurs again later in the Surah and I think there are two ways of pronouncing
it in the tareeq of Shaatibiyyah: ikhtilaas and ishmaam. Can you elaborate
please.
Thanks for your
time
Answer
Wa alaikum
assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh.
The word
in
aayah two of surah Al-Kahf is pronounced as
by
Shu’bah with a qalqalah of the
, followed by
, or circling of the lips as in a dhammah
with no accompanying sound. There
is a very slight pause of sound during the

The
second word
in
the same surah occurs in aayah 76 without a
, and is pronounced two different possible ways
as stated in the question, one with sukoon of the
and
indicating
a dhammah, as in the above case of aayah two of this surah, and the other with
of
the dhammah (giving it 2/3 of a full vowel count) on the
.
The
