. Which medd is there after wow
saakinah there is hamzah wsl followed by hamzah qata, is it medd badl? Please
I need your advice now I'm on vacation (2 days remaining) immediately after my
vacation I have an oral test in the first 5 surah's of juz 'AMMA. Please
kindly advice me how to read. Thanking you. Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh. May Allah grant that you memorize the Qur'an and read it in the way that pleases Him. Ameen. Jazakum Allahu khairan for your comments, may Allah grant us purity of intention. The alif written after the in the word is not hamzah al-wasl, but instead the separating alif written at the end of a word ending in the plural to show the end of the word. This alif is never pronounced. Hamzah Al-Wasl only occurs at the beginning of a word. What we have here then is a lengthened end the end of a word, and the first letter of the next word is a hamzah al-qata' (), the medd here then is and we lengthen it four or five vowel counts reading Hafs 'an 'Aasim by the way of Ash-Shatibiyyah. occurs when a hamzah al-qata' precedes a medd letter, such as in the following three words: and it is lengthened only two vowel counts. You are welcome, and insha' Allah you will do very well on your test. Wa assalaam alaikum wa rahmatu Allah.
