What is the ruling on wavering and/or breaking the sound while pronouncing the Mudood?

Question
What is the ruling on wavering and/or breaking the sound while pronouncing the Mudood? e.g. waladhdhaa-aa-aal leen in sura Fatiha.

Jazaakallah Khair

Answer
We should not have more than one tone on one individual letter when reciting the Qur'an.  The medd letter is one letter, so the letter should stay at one tone.
Some refer to a hadeeth in which the Prophet's voice was said to change or break during a medd, but  in the mentioned hadeeth he was on a camel when he was reading the Qur'an, and when riding a camel, or horse or other animal we use for transport, ones voice bounces with the movement of the animal.

Wa iyyaakum wa-l-muslimeen.
