In 
the letter "dhad" is follow by the letter "ta". I sometimes find it hard to pronounce the whole word. Would you please tell me the proper way to pronounce both the "dad" and the "ta" in these circumstances?

, needs to be pronounced carefully from the top of tip of the tongue, but special care needs to be taken that the characteristics of the letter that are not present in the letter do not carry over. So all tafkheem should be gone, since has tarqeeq, not tafkheem. Most likely this is the difficulty you are encountering, the articulation point of the is unique, and it has some strong characteristics that are especially apparent when saakinah, and afterwards the has tarqeeq and other weak characteristics.
