What is the difference between makhraj muhaqqaq and makhraj muqaddar?
Answer
The makhraj al-muhaqqaq is a specific well pinpointed articulation point.
The makhraj al-muqaddar is an approximate area, not a specific point. The lengthened letters (alif, wow and ya') come from the empty space in the mouth and throat.  This is a general area and no details can be given for it.
