Question
Title: Stopping on the letter "Faa Mushaddadah" Assalaamu aleikum wa rahmatu Laahi wa barakaatuh. May Allah 'Azza wa Jall reward you greatly for your efforts and make Al Jannah Al Firdaus your abode (Ameen). 1) My first question is about stopping on the letter "Faa Mushaddadah" in surah 22 aayah 36 (Sawaaf). Should we stop with Nabr on the letter? I cannot seem to make the difference (when listening to other reciters stopping on that word) between a "Faa Mushaddadah" and a "Faa ghairu Mushaddadah". So should we put a little bit a strength on the lips when stopping on it? 2) Does the qiraa of Assoosiy have a different word for the word "Munkar" in surah 22 aayah 72? Wa salaamu aleikum wa rahmatu Laahi wa barakaatuh Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh 1. When stopping or continuing on the word we need to be sure to complete the shaddah on the letter fa', and this is more difficult to hear when stopping. Putting a nabr on the end of the six count alif just as we go on to the fa' helps this to occur. 2. No the riwaayah of As-Soosiyy does not read the word al-munkar differently than Hafs. May Allah grant you increased beneficial knowledge and grant you all you asked for us and more. Wa assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh |
