Question
Assalaamu-alaikum,

)When memorizing verses from the Qur'an do we have to memorize the last harakah at the end of each verse when we make it saakin because we are stoping on it.

For example in Surah Al-Fatiha: Alhamdulillaa hi rabbil 'aalameen

Do we have to memorize the harakah that is originally on last letter that we are making saakin?(which is a fatha in this example)

May Allah Almighty bless you all.

Answer
1)  It is important to know the vowels on the end of the aayaat and places we normally stop.  We are allowed to join aayaat together, although the sunnah is to stop on the end of the aayah- but we should be able to join the aayat if needed and need to know the vowel for that, and for stopping with or and to know if it is allowed.
Many shuyookh giving ijaazah make the student join aayaat, or ask the student to stop with  to test them.
May Allah bless you also.
Wa assalaam alaikum
