Question
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Jazakallahu khairaa for creating this website. I have a question about he qiraat of yaqub. I noticed that when stopping on certain it is stopped with a haa attached to the final nun. For example in the first ayah of surah fatihah yaqub would end with "3aalameenah" rather than with a sukun on the nun. I could not find this rule in my books on this qiraat and I am not an expert on the qiraat related by the durrah and tayyibah so I would like to know the name of this rule.

Answer
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.
The rule you are referring to is in Tareeq At-Tayyibah.  When there is a regular male plural noun and you are stopping on the word, Yaqoob reads it with an attached "ha' sakt"  as one of two allowed ways. The is read with a sukoon on it, no vowel at all, and only when stopping.  The is not present when continuing.  The other allowed way is the normal way we stop on words, with a sukoon on the end with no attached sakt.

There is also in the recitation of Yaqoob outlined in the Durrah as well as in the Tayyibah a " sakt" when stopping on nouns ending with a female represented by a with a shaddah, preceded by a , as well as when stopping on  either of the two words.  There are some other instances too, but these are the most common.
