Question
Assalamualaikum.
I would like to know why does most of the Muslim world read Hafs instead of other ways of recitation?
Jazakumullahu kher

Answer
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
There is no specific reason, other than that is the way of reading that has prevailed the most over the centuries throughout the Muslim wold after the Muslims declined in their thirst of learning all the ways of recitation and keeping them alive, and most of all, it is Allah's will with the causes and effects that we stated.
