Assalaamu Alaikum

Is it permissible to mix the lengths of al maddul aarid lis sukoon during a single recitation? e.g. 2 counts at the end of verse 1 and four at the end of verse 2 and so on.

JazaakAllah.

Answer
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Proper recitation would have consistency in  during a single recitation.  The reciter is free to change the length in each sitting, but should have the same length in each single separate recitation.
And Allah knows best.
Wa iyyaakum.
