Question
Assalamu alaykum.
Sheikh Abdul Basit reads the word heyta in the 3rd ruku in several ways. please can you tell me what the differences in reading this word are between the ten qiraa'aat with their different riwaayaat. jazaakallah.

Answer
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,
The second word in the phrase: in surah Yusuf aayah 23 is read as:
by Naafi', Ibn Dhakwaan, and Abu Ja'far
by Ibn Katheer
by Hishaam

and all the rest of the different qira'aat including 'Aasim read it as.
Wa iyyaakum.
Wa assalaam alaikum
