I want to know what rules will be taken into consideration when making idghaam with ghunna in laam and raa for Hafs via the tayyibah tariq..

Allah reward you for this very informative site.  I want to know what rules will be taken into consideration when making idghaam with ghunna in laam and raa for Hafs via the tayyibah tariq.can you make qasr in madd munfasil  and idghaam with ghunnah?  Jazakallah

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Jazakum Allahu khairan for your dua'.

There are many ways in Hafs by the way of At-Tayyibah that have the ghunnah with the idhgaam of the noon saakinah and tanween in to the and .  Almost all of the ways have six vowel counts lengthening for  and various lengths for  .  Of course, each way has special rules for some of the special words and word combinations.  Since you mentioned qasr, or two vowel counts for  in the question, we will give the rules for that lengthening and six vowel counts for   with a ghunnah on the idhgaam of  saakinah and tanween into the  and , by the way of Al-Hamaamee from the way outlined in Al-Kaamil, by tareeq al-Feel.  This is not the only way in At-Tayyibah with  a ghunnah in the idghaam of saakinah and tanween into and the with qasr of and six vowel counts of .

The following rules should be obsvered:

  1. There is  of the  saakinah in the separate letters at the beginning with the   in the word that follows in:

 and .

  1. The alif is established ( pronounced) when stopping on  in surah Al-Insaan, aayah 4.

  2. All occurrences of the words  and in aayah of 54 surah Ar-Room are read with a  only.

  1. The word  in aayah 36 of surah An-Naml  is read with no  when stopping. 

  1. The letter  in the  word    (aayah 63 of surah Ash-Shu’araa’) is read with tafkheem only when reading in continuum with that which follows it. 

  1. The separate letter  found at the beginning of surah Maryam and surah Ash-Shooraa:,  is read with four and six vowel counts. 

  1. There is no  in  the following aayaat , ,   , and

Note: there will be a ghunnah when reading , because there will be idhgaam of the  saakinah into the

  1. The word  in aayah 11 of surah Yusuf is read with idhgaam and  only.

  1. There is  of the saakinah in the words  in aayah 42 of surah Hud.  There will be a qalqalah on the  since it is saakinah. 

  1. There is of the  saakinah into the  in the word  in aayah 176 of surah Al-A’raaf. 

  1.  There are two allowed ways of reading the words ( Al-An’aam 143, 144),  (Yunus 51, 91) , and ,  (Yunus 59 An-Naml 59), all with a questioning hamzah before a hamzah al-wasl; with  of the hamzah al-wasl into an alif with six vowel counts lengthening, or with  of the second hamzah (hamzah al-wasl) where in it is read between a hamzah and an alif with no lengthening.

  1.  The words  (Al-Baqarah 245),   (Al-A’raaf 9 ), and  (Al-Ghaashiyaah 22) are all read with a .

      The word   (At-Toor 37) is read with a .
