Question
How does recite when stopping on a raa mushaddah or laam or seen etc? I have heard there is a rule called Nabar, which means that one reads with slightly more emphasis, so that the listener know there is a tashdeed on the last letter? Is there a difference between stopping on a raa saakin and a raa tashdeed? For example the difference between stopping on 'Kallaa Laa Wazar' and 'Yauma idhinil Mustaqarr' in surah Qiyaamah etc. Answer Assalaam alaikum, You are correct, when stopping on a word with a shaddah on the last letter, we put a slight empahsis or accent just before we pronounce it to show that there are two letters, and not just one. This rule can be found in detail at the following link: http://www.abouttajweed.com/the-accent-in-recitation-of-the-glorious-qur-an/the-accent-in-recitation-of-the-glorious-quran-p-2.html Please note that there are audio links next a few words, so if you click on them, you can hear the correct way of pronouncing the "nabr" or accent. |
