Are there any websites or softwares with the articulation points of the letters shown? |
||||
Question Al-Salaamu Alaikum, I would like to ask you about any website or software through which a Quran Teacher can show the places in mouth which are used for reciting the alphabats of Arabic language. Once I used a CD through which one can see the parts of mouth moving with the recitation. Can you please help me about it? Walssalaam Answer Wa alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. If you can understand Arabic, some of the recordings of his emminence Dr. Sheikh Ayman Swayd are on the Internet. There are specific drawings of the articulation points in these videos. Some of these recordings are found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK6c2r-RUx4&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNHTqHJo0rQ&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8LQtGUyOuU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUoX9WcE-oM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfu69YLVpp4&feature=related There are software packages for Qur'an that sometimes have articulation points of the Arabic letters, but many times there are some inaccuracies. We found a website that has some drawings that are pretty good, except for the throat letters which are placed far too low. Please see: It is a powerpoint presentation, so you need to have the powerpoint software to see it. Insha' Allah this helps. Wa assalaam alaikum. |
