Question Assalaamun alaikum. Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa
rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh. You may need to copy a
qari's recitation to the extent of learning how to acquire the luhoon of the
Arabs, or melodious recitations of the Arabs.
It is always best to acquire after that, your own way of recitation
without going over the limits laid down to us by the Prophet,
, of reading the Qur’an
with the Arabic recitation. There is nothing, to the best of our knowledge, forbidding
copying a particular qari’s "melody" in reciting, but care needs
to be made that we do not “sing” the Qur’an. If you only read with
a certain qari's "melody" you may find yourself in difficulty if you
forget his particular sound. May Allah reward all
students of the Qur’an and guide us all to be “ahl al-Qur’an.” Allah
ma'akum. |
