Question
1 What
does 'Salaam' mean in Arabic? Thanks Alaikum
assalaam. I am trying to find out the actual translation of the reply greeting
Wa
alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh. thank you. Wa
alaikum assalaam, meaning “and to you peace”. The
literal translation would be “the peace”. Salaam
means peace. The
reply greeting: Wa
alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakaatuh, means: And to you [plural]
is the salaam [peace] and Allah’s mercy and His blessings.
You
are both welcome. |
